Our Objectives

Education:

Our entrepreneurship classes are focused on educating tomorrow’s entrepreneurial leaders. Our classroom sessions are run by world-renowned research faculty in the area of entrepreneurship and innovation.

Support

Entrepreneurship @ UAlberta is about supporting student entrepreneurs. When students seek help from eHUB, there is no equity expectation or a desire to sit on the board of directors. We are here to serve and champion the entrepreneurial goals of our students.

Collaboration

On Campus – We work very closely with Deans, department chairs, faculty members and student groups to offer a holistic support network for our eHUB students. Off Campus – We have strong collaborative networks with industry, research facilities, government organizations and local groups to offer student continued support outside the University.

Visibility

University of Alberta has long been a champion of innovation and entrepreneurship. Our goal is to bring visibility to entrepreneurial activities of our students and to help socialize their ideas.

Ryan Seeras

Student RELATIONS

Ryan is an enthusiastic learner, innovator, and passion seeker who has experience in supporting startup growth and development, business operations, capacity building, and marketing. After a few successes and failures with his own startup ventures, he realized that he really enjoys working with and learning from entrepreneurs who are in the startup, early, and growth states of their businesses.

Likewise, he is passionate about helping his fellow entrepreneurs at the UofA get a head start on their entrepreneurial journey and he is privileged enough to be doing just that at eHUB. More specifically, he works towards identifying the varying needs that student entrepreneurs have (e.g., mentorship and funding) and connects them with the array of services that eHUB provides.

Stephania (Steph) Carbonio Ruiz

INTERIOR & GRAPHICs DESIGNER
Steph is an aspiring Industrial Designer studying at the University of Alberta. After completing a diploma in Interior Design back in 2013 in Mexico she learned she was passionate about having the opportunity to influence people’s lives and emotions through small, but significant details.
Steph naturally levitates towards the aesthetics found in interior spaces, and finds inspiration in everyday objects such as: furniture, textures, patterns and people’s interactions. As an ID’er in the making she has found she’s most interested in focusing her work around designing meaningful experiences and solutions alongside people from different disciplines.
When she’s not at school, she is either product sketching, reading or drinking probably-unhealthy-amounts-of coffee.
